Surfing Lessons at Gower, South Wales
Surfing compares with similar sports like snowboarding/skiing in that the very basic skills can be learned in a day but more tuition time is needed to learn control and intermediate skills.
Surfing lessons provide an accelerated introduction into a very difficult sport by the use of 'beach teaching' the skills required by qualified instructors able to assess individuals ability and surfing conditions.
As a measure of the success of the Surf School we find that the majority of people achieve stand up surfing in their first day. Tuition is also available for surfers who want to improve or learn new skills.
Frequently asked questions
Whats included in the cost of the lesson?
The surfboard, wetsuit and instruction are included in the price. No accommodation or transportation to the beach is included in the price.
Are there group discounts?
Yes, if a group of 12 or more book for a specific event a discount of 10% is afforded to the group. The booking must be made in one transaction, and will not apply to 12 individual booking in one group. If a booking of more than 12 is made, then a larger negotiable discount can be achieved.
Are there other course options?
Yes, it is possible to individual packages for people and/or groups dependant on requirement and numbers. The earlier these are arranged the more likely we are to be able to cater for needs.
What day of the week do midweek courses commence?
Midweek courses/lessons are flexible and can be arranged at the needs of the customer. It is anticipated that the school will run everyday of the week during the Peak period of July and August.
Can you provide courses for Corporate Events, Birthdays, Stag & Hen Parties?
Yes, tailor made events are always available. Numbers are normally limited to 20 due to the student/instructor ratio. However, larger numbers can be accommodated if sufficient time is allowed prior to the event.

Off Peak - April to June 09 (not including Whitsun week). September 12 - 1st November.
Peak Season - July and August as well as Whitsun Week.
